How to Manage Your Favorite Sites

Mobile technology is making it easier to do things than anyone ever dreamed. Well, someone had to dream it in order to create it, but most of the users of the technology never thought in those terms. They are just grateful for the amazing things they are now able to do with the touch of a few buttons on the cell phones, smartphones , and other devices.

There are a few things that are a bit more complicated thanks to mobile technology. These mostly have to do with the fact that having one more computing device means another set of things to try to synch up. A good example of this is bookmarking favorite websites, videos, and other web media. It was hard enough to keep track of bookmarks from a home computer, work computer, and laptop. Now there’s a smart phone, iPad and possibly internet TV. This is where having a web-based favorites manager becomes even more critical.

These bookmarking sites allow users to consolidate all the favorites they have saved on their various internet-enabled devices. By saving them on a remote server that is easily accessed by a user ID and password, these sites make it easy to save a link at work and then look it up again on the blackberry days or weeks later. As long as users remember to save to the bookmark site instead of whatever browser they have open, they’ll never lose track of a favorite URL again.
